Privacy Policy

In this policy we would like to specify how we collect, handle and distribute data from our app.

This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) covers what personal information you can choose to share with us, GeoGuide owner, Combine A/S, Vestre Havnepromenade 5, 3. sal, 9000 Aalborg, Denmark (“we” or “our”) when you install and use this application (“Application”). It also describes how we receive, collect, process, store and use your information. We will respect all of your fundamental legal rights to data protection and privacy.

Collection of Information
We will collect technical information that may also be personal data, such as IP address, device ID number and similar information from your device in order for us to be able to provide the functionality of the Application. The collected information is required for us and for our sub-suppliers to deliver the services that you request. We may also use such information for statistics and user support.

Furthermore, we will access and process information on your specific use of the Application, your location, device information, interactions with other elements in the Application. When we process your location information, you should know that we do this with a specific focus on planning and for us to be able to notify the right people at the right time. In this way your use of the Application helps us provide you with a better experience and helps us improve your experience based on the analysis the collected data provides us with. Additionally, we use your location data to provide you with relevant information and guidance, events and other interesting information in your close proximity through real time push notifications.

Some services that are part of the overall Application may require a specific consent from you, and where such a consent is required, we will let you know and ask you to provide us herewith. You are always free to accept or decline, as the functionality of the Application is overall not dependent on your acceptance – although if you decline to let certain information be processed, some of the Application functionalities will most likely no longer be accessible or will have lost some parts of the functionality.

You may provide us with additional information such as information on your use of third party services such as, but not limited to, Google and Facebook. The information may be required for the Application to interact with third-party services. We will use information concerning third-party services only for the purpose of interaction between the Application and the services of third parties that you have asked us to deliver.

You may also log into the Application via third-party services such as social media and social network services like Facebook. When you use such third-party services to log in, or when you accept for them to integrate with the Application, you will experience a better and broader use of the Application. Some features in the Application do not function without the integration of the third-party services. Some features require that you register for, or log into, third party services on third-party websites and as part of the full integration the third-party supplier will provide us with access to certain information that you have provided to them, and we will use, store and disclose such information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Please remember that the way such third-party service providers process, use, transfer, disclose and store your information is governed solely by the third party’s privacy policies, which you have accepted, and we do not have any liability or responsibility for the privacy practices or other actions of any such third-party services that you may actively enable or disable within the Application. As we do not control third party services, we are not responsible for the accuracy or availability of information, service, data, content, goods, opinions or statements made available through the third-party services.

We also give you the possibility to access certain third-party applications or the content in third-party applications by relating accounts with our Application. When you accept to and choose to access the third-party applications, you may be requested to perform certain things such as synchronization of accounts, logging in, etc. We stress that you are never obligated to perform these things or act in accordance herewith wherefore your access and use of such applications is at your own risk. You are responsible for the data and information you decide to share.

Lastly, we use tracking software and similar technology to automatically collect information about your mobile device hardware and software, and your use of the Services. We do this to make sure that we, as fast as possible, can correct any errors that effect the performance of the Application, especially in relation to certain brands and types of devices. This information may include details about your visits to our website or use of the Application or other services, the resources you access, date and time stamps, referring website addresses, Application activity logs and error logs, and information about your use of our Services.

Safety measures
In accordance with applicable legal regulations, we undertake any reasonable measures to ensure data security, and we will do our outmost to assure that your personal information is kept safe and is not subject to unauthorized access, unauthorized use or abuse.

In order to ensure data security, we will, in consideration of appropriate technical possibilities, ensure that only authorized persons receive access to the data for legally permissible purposes, protect stored or transmitted data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss or unintended changes and unauthorized or unlawful storage or processing, unauthorized access or unauthorized or unlawful transmission, and comply with all applicable data protection provisions. We will also make sure that we only work together with third parties that are willing to fully take on the same safety measures as we are, and who will guarantee to us that they will make sure that data is treated in full compliance with the rules and regulations we have set out.

We also recommend that you take additional steps towards protecting yourself and your information, such as keeping your log-in information and passwords secret and making sure you regularly update the software on your device and the Application.

Transfer of data
For us to be able to deliver the Application and its functionalities to you, we use third-party data processors to whom we transfer data. The data processors appointed by us all have guaranteed in writing that they will live up to the terms of this privacy policy, including ensuring safe-keeping of your personal data. With your acceptance of this Privacy Policy and by using the Application, you agree to the processing of your data in the form of a transfer to third parties. In the agreements with our data processor, we have stressed that your data safety is our biggest responsibility and under no circumstance are the processors or any pre-approved sub-processors to transfer or share data with third parties.

Currently, we are using the following third parties as data processors and sub-processors meaning that your data can be transferred to:

  • Crowd Connected Ltd (for location and analytical purposes)
  • Google Analytics (for analytical purposes)
  • Google Maps (For location purposes)
  • Apple Maps (For location purposes)

Please note that we may also disclose information associated with you as well as contact information to third parties if required by law.

Change of Privacy Policy
We are allowed to change this Privacy Policy at any time, and we advise you to review the Privacy Policy from time to time. In case of changes in this Privacy Policy, you will be informed about the changes and asked to agree hereto once again.

Opt-out from data collection and inquiries
As a user you may opt out of all information collection by discontinuing your use of the Application or by disabling individual parts of the Application.

Questions, comments and inquiries regarding this Privacy Policy and the personal data we have stored and processed about you are welcomed and should be addressed to gdpr.

Governing law
This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Danish law.

In the event that any of the provisions of this Privacy Policy should become ineffective, invalid or unenforceable, this shall not affect the effectiveness, validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions. In the event of the ineffectiveness, invalidity or unenforceability of any of these provisions you agree that we may substitute such by an effective, valid and enforceable provision which is, in its legal result, as close as possible to the ineffective, invalid or unenforceable provision.
